Omni Breakfast and Community discussion event:

The Greater Charlottesville Trauma-Informed Community Network held an community discussion at the beautiful Omni Hotel where a wonderful breakfast was also offered. We had about 60 community stakeholders and leaders in attendance, as the event was a success in beginning the conversation on how we can work together to meet the needs of our community in such a way that silos are broken, and trust is established.

Our guest speaker Llyod Merchant did a wonderful job with his presentation on the Rapid Engagement of Support in the Event of Trauma (RESET) program. It is a model that we is well respected and working wonders in the Roanoke area. We got a lot of positive feedback and interest in a similar program here in our community

We are excited to continue the conversation by holding follow up meetings, building lasting partnerships, and most importantly supporting our community in a holistic way!
